I’ m writing an essay on Mr. Heinlein’s quote that reads as follows;

“A long and wicked life followed by five minutes of perfect grace gets you into heaven. An equally long life of decent living and good works followed by one brief outburst of taking the name of the Lord in vain – then have a heart attack at that moment and be doomed for eternity. Is that the system?”

Any thoughts?
Ideas?

Five Minutes of Heaven

I was at a party and I had drunk a little too much.
Then the girl who’s house it was started a little game of thirty minutes in heaven.
I put my little snake ring in the bag along with everyone else at the parties items.
Someone I didn’t know but sure was hot picked it out.
The girl who’s party it was told me to go and wait in the cupboard. 30 seconds later the hottie came in. It was really dark inside the cupboard.
We just talked for five minutes about ourselves.
He asked me if I was the girl who was wearing the little black skirt. I said yes. Then he grabbed me, pulled my skirt up and started to kiss me. Surprised, I kissed him back. His hands went everywhere and then he laid me on the ground. He was on top of me and I couldn’t get up and he had ripped most of my clothes of and I was so drunk at the time that I didn’t have the sense to resist. I’m just glad he used a condom.
I havent seen him since the party. But we have exchanged numbers and the party was only last night.

OK so there are lots of flame wars going on over the internet – Politics, Religion, which is the best piece of high tech gear etc. The first two are driven by nationalism, identity or ideology the latter by kids trying to justify they have the best toys. But there are flame wars over so many things from even the most unexpected people.
I found the level of foul language used to discuss who was and wasn’t the best opera diva from highly cultured people quite extraordinary. What have you witnessed?
